Details
of the Opportunity
Netball is the
largest female participation sport in the country. As a sport we
provide a diverse range of opportunities for a sponsor to attach
itself either to a high profile event / team (Netball Australia)
or develop a grass roots strategy to access the hundred of thousands
of netballers participating in the sport at the grass roots.
Netball Australia
and the States and Territories are each responsible for sourcing
and servicing sponsors. Each organisation has a diverse range of
sponsorship opportunities based on its:
- Size - number
of participants
- Ability
to deliver - number of professional staff to manage sponsorships
- Priorities
and needs
This sponsorship
package provides the sponsor with the opportunity to select a high
profile national property such as the Australian Netball team, and
combine this with a range of exciting State based grass roots programs
that will drive the sponsorship message.
As a sport we
are currently establishing a National Marketing Group which will
develop and implement a National sponsorship strategy that will
provide sponsors with high profile national exposure, whilst delivering
access to grass roots via the States.
It is envisaged
that the National Marketing Group would oversee the implementation
of this sponsorship, with each State / Territory responsible for
the implementation of the individual programs.
New Developments…….
One exciting National program currently being developed in association
with the Australian Sports Commission is a National Participation
Initiative. This program will be similar to the AFL's Auskick program
and will be delivered consistently across Australia.
Depending on
the timing of the sponsorship and development of the National Participation
Initiative, this may be an interesting sponsorship opportunity.
