AUSTRALIA'S Karrie Webb fired a six-under 66 to claim her fifth LPGA Tour win of the year and deny Annika Sorenstam a record sixth straight title at the Mizuno Classic in Japan.
Webb, who started the final round one stroke behind overnight leader and local hope Momoko Ueda, carded six birdies at the par 72 Kashikojima Country Club to finish the three-round event at 14-under-par 202.
The Queenslander carded just one bogey for the tournament, producing rounds of 69-67-66 for a four-shot victory over Japan's Kaori Higo (206) to continue her outstanding season.
Sorenstam tied for third, five strokes off the pace after a 70 in the final round left her at nine-under 207.
Australia's Rachel Hetherington, the first round leader, finished in a tie for ninth at even par following a 72 today.
Coming off a six-stroke victory in the European Tour's Dubai Ladies Masters, world No.1 Sorenstam struggled with her short game and had bogeys on the second and 12th holes.
